Coming of age in the Vietnam War Era, I learned slogans like, “Give peace a chance.” Fifty years later, we’ve not given peace a chance. Instead, the world remains conflicted by violence. Because of political divisions, people are less civil toward each other than they were before. With the pandemic, we see it in the new egregious behavior on airplanes, in stores, and in schools. It’s time for us to learn what it means for us to be people of peace and end the cycles of violence that hold the world hostage. Join me in this video to consider making peace in a violent world. Thanks.
