The New Year has begun. As we wish each other, “Happy New Year!” we have no idea what this year will bring to us, our loved ones, and our world. Will this be a bright and shining year? Or will the year be marked by hardship and strife? While we don’t know what is to come, we wish each other a happy New Year.
In beginning this year, I have one great hope: that in this year, humanity will grow beyond the division and discord that we have experienced in recent years. Yes, I am hoping for a kinder world where our connections with others are characterized by a sense of respect for each other … for all others, no matter how much they are similar to us or different.
In this spirit, in place of my usual weekly blog, I am sharing this brief video to help inspire us to live a bit differently. It received an Academy Award as the best animated short film.
