Each week for 13 years, I posted a blog entry for E-merging. Over that time, I took one three-month break. The blog had been very active in the past. At its height, there were about several hundred unique visits to the site each month. Presently, it’s rare for a posting to be viewed by more than about three dozen people.
The online environment has changed in the last few years. People are more polarized over most issues. Given the decline in readership, I’ve decided to take a break from writing the weekly E-merging. I am not sure how long this hiatus will be.
It would help me a great deal if you would take a few moments and write to let me know what you find most helpful about this blog. If there are things you would want to see reflected here, knowing that would be helpful to me.
I appreciate that you have subscribed and followed the blog. Writing is an important part of my spiritual practice.

Honestly, I would read anything you write because of our similar views and your way with words. Your blogs used to inspire my sermons; now they inspire me.
Thanks, Diane. I appreciate your feedback. Lou
It is funny sometimes how a person can impact your life. You helped me through a really rough time in my life years ago. You were the person who helped me calm down and then go on. Then I stared reading emerging and I found myself introduced to a new ideas/concepts. Spirituality, mindfulness, your introduction to these was certainly not what I expected. You thoughts, not just about Christianity but numerous other religions, instead of dividing you they seemed to enrich you.
When you wrote on your thoughts about Jesus, life, afterlife, you voiced things that I also considered but afraid to admit.
You make me think and maybe you make me feel less afraid. Maybe that is not you wanted to pass on to your readers but that is part of the reason I follow you in your blog.

Thanks for your comments. I’m glad I’ve been helpful.
Social media has changed a great deal and I think I’ve not kept up with those changes. There are several hours spent each week writing and working with an editor. I think what I need to do before continuing is to figure out how to get more traffic to visit the blog to increase readership. What I’ve been doing doesn’t seem to work.

I love your blogs, Lou. They are thoughtful and thought-provoking. I affirm your desire for a break. It is such a strange time in our media-overload world. For me, I left Facebook where I’d originally read your content and I like still getting to see your work via the email links. I’m not sure what the best thing is to do moving forward. I’ll ponder and be in touch. Thank you for the words, thoughts, and nudges you’ve been providing for the past many years. I’ve treasured them.
Thanks, Angela. I appreciate your support and insights. Lou
I pretty much subscribe to what Diane has written. I’m content to be surprised and you don’t seem to lack for thoughts to share.
Thanks, Frank. I appreciate the support.

Your gentle and wise counsel and your insight create an oasis of calm amid the chaos.
Thanks, Debbie. I appreciate that you commented. We’ve known each other a very long time and I appreciate your insight. Lou
Our Spiritualities resonate and there is no question that you have a way with words. I look forward each week to reading those words and insights that you have to share . You nurture and nourish my spirit and you have been a blessing to me.
Thank you my friend.

Howard: Thanks for taking time to comment. I value the insight and feedback. Lou
I just became aware of your weekly message and subscribed. If reference to it was made earlier in your Facebook posts, I missed it. I have been reading nearly everything I have found and generally find it to be relevant to my life and to my views. I will continue to read whatever I find of your writing wherever I find it.`
